Introducing the DICOTA Strategic Plan

Welcome to Our Strategic Plan!

The plan, which sets DICOTA's course for the next several years  and beyond, is the result of a year-long process that engaged the diaspora community (jumuiyas). The strategic planning committee held dozens of meetings, heard input from stakeholders, past and present DICOTA leadership, sponsors, individual members, and then created a road map for DICOTA’s future.

“To us, this plan is an acknowledgement that we are a growing organization and an acceptance that looking inwards is the best way to be effective outwards”, said Lunda Asmani, DICOTA Board Chair.

We, in the Tanzania diaspora remain optimistic at the potential that exists for us to positively engage in the social-economic transformation taking place in Tanzania. The Tanzania diaspora communities across the world are motivated and seek to be more connected with each other and their culture and heritage. None of these plans will come to bear without the help, support and leadership of the Diaspora community at large, and those in Tanzania. We invite you to read and see where we're going!
