Dear NE Youth Member,

NE Youth is excited to be working in partnership with UK Youth and Microsoft to deliver a new programme called Generation Code throughout March.  This is a FREE 2 hour workshop for young people to get engaged in coding.

NE Youth 'Youth Forum'

Please find attached a new and exciting opportunity for young people aged 12 - 19 years within the NE Youth membership network, who we are looking to recruit onto the NE Youth - Youth Forum.

We would appreciate it, if you can all please share with your young people.

NE Youth - Emergency First Aid Course

Date: Monday 27th March 2017

Time: Arrival & refreshments 6:00pm - 9:00pm (at latest)

Venue: TBC

Facilitator: Priory Training Services

Cost: £10.00 (NE Youth Members) / £25 (non-members)

Rosebowl Female Football Trials

NE Youth are really excited to announce that we are currently holding football trials to select 16 talented female players u17 who will compete in the Four Nations International Rosebowl Tournament in August 2017.

All 16 players selected follow a training programme in the lead up to the 4 day tournament which takes place on the 1st to 4th August 2017 and will receive a cap for representing their country.
 
England CYP have remained the most successful team of the 4 nations and furthermore have proved that this can be a platform for young female footballers wanting to develop in the sport.  Many outstanding players in the past have went onto playing professional for  Sunderland, Newcastle, Manchester City, Everton, Liverpool and many more top teams in England.

I am delighted to share with you today the exciting news that NE Youth are recruiting a Youth Development Worker to work within our Direct Delivery Youth Work Team.

VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

It’s that time of month again when we ask Members to nominate their volunteer of the month.

If you are working with an outstanding volunteer then please do nominate them; and send completed forms to louise@neyouth.org.uk by the 31st March 2017.

Winners of each Volunteer of the Month will receive a certificate and their positive story and impact will be featured in our e-newsletter and social media sites.  Anyone can nominate, whether you’re someone who works with and/or manages a volunteer, or a friend or family member. This Award is open to all volunteers (aged 11+) who are involved at your club/organisation and are affiliated members of NE Youth.

Therapy Bytes (Streetwise)

Streetwise Newcastle are hosting Therapy Bytes, an event which shows which mobile apps, vlogs / blogs, and websites are most effective when it comes to young people with mental health issues.
