Is Salvation a Certainty?
I recently read an article by Larry Moyer entitled "Your Salvation: A Certainty or a Guessing Game." That right there stopped me. How many of you only HOPE you'll be saved rather than are SURE of it? Salvation is by faith not works (Ephesians 2:8,9), therefore we do not have to hope we have worked enough--attended church enough, been kind enough, given to charity enough--the "enough" was accomplished by Jesus Christ on the cross. We do have to make a deliberate choice in a moment of humility to receive the free gift Christ has offered us. We prayerfully turn from our own ways to save us and fall on Christ to do what we cannot ever do. Have you? Please do not let the sun set today without asking yourself, "Am I sure?"

Joshua's UBO Blog
Our 12 year old son never ceases to put a smile on my face. He has a full life of music, sports, and writing, yet he is still frequently asking me if he can take over UBO. Not just in the future, even now :-). God has put a special interest in his heart and I, for one, am curious what comes of it someday. For now, he enjoys combining his love of writing and UBO together into blogs. Enjoy his latest one here.
Needs We Met
This first quarter has been a productive one at UBO. With all glory going to God, we have been able to supply Bibles to those struggling with homelessness, those in crisis pregnancies, those successfully transitioning out of homelessness, men struggling with addiction, some unemployed, some living paycheck to paycheck, and moms grieving the loss of a child--needs in downtown Dallas, south of Dallas, Denton, Plano, and the Colony. Busy 1st Quarter!

We have a couple of requests to still fulfill this 1st quarter and then we are praying for the resources to start 2nd quarter needs over the next few weeks. We know our faithful God will provide.
