Baby Toy/Pacifier Drive

I'm so excited to announce that we will be collecting small baby toys and pacifiers for the month of March!  This donation will go with the Maasay Yahdav (The Work of His Hands) group on their next trip to Israel.  These items are passed out to sick children in the hospitals and also to the kids living in shelters.  What an amazing and easy way to bless others. . .in Israel!  Look for the collection bins outside of your children's classrooms.

Come one, come all to Beth Hallel…I mean…Shushan’s 2017 Purim Party! This year’s Purim Party will take place on Saturday, March 11th. I’m passing along a message from Queen Esther and she has asked all, yes, both children and adults, to dress up in your best costumes. Great prizes will be given.   There is also a hamantashen baking contest.  There will be crafts for the kids, music, dancing, a mini-Purim ballet and the great Purim parade. Don't forget to bring one canned food item per person as your admission and a dessert to share!
Our next class will take place on Saturday, March 11th. All students 10 years old through 8th grade are welcome to join this class.  They will be dismissed shortly after service begins by Rabbi Kevin and will be meeting in the Preteen classroom.
The Yeladim Sharim choir will perform during Shabbat Service on Saturday, March 11th.  If your child is a part of this group, please arrive by 10am for a sound check.

Mazel Tov Eliana!  We are so proud of you and all the hard work you've accomplished in the Bat Mitzvah program over the last two years.  Please join Eliana as she is called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday, March 18th.  Reception to follow in the MJCC.  Star Wars costumes are welcomed at the reception.
Family Focus

During the Purim season, we many times focus on how we can bless others.  How about blessing your child through your actions and words?  Here is a great resource to help guide you in doing just that!  This is promised to be meaningful and encouraging.

Please plan to join us on Tuesday, March 7th, for a special holiday lesson and activity celebrating Purim!  We encourage all students to come dressed in a synagogue appropriate costume (nothing scary).  The kids will learn about courageous Esther through an interactive lesson and various activities. They'll also enjoy a hamantashen snack!  Hope to see you there!
CBH Wellness Guidelines
As we're in the prime season for colds and flu, here is a review of our wellness policy. If your child is not feeling his/her best, please use the following guidelines to determine whether or not he/she should be in the nursery or classroom.

Communion typically takes place on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.  We want you to enjoy this meaningful service, but ask that you remember to pick up your children from class first.  This will give our teachers the opportunity to also participate.  Thank you!
The Preteen class will have the opportunity to go to Main Event in Alpharetta this month.  This event will take place on Saturday, March 25th, from 2-6pm.  See the flyer and permission slip below.
