Mayor Mike Unplugged:
“The Future of West Van If We Don’t Act Boldly and Act Soon”

70% TICKETS SOLD
Wednesday, March 8 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm
West Vancouver Yacht Club, 5854 Marine Drive

Mayor Mike Smith is ready to unplug on March 8 and says it will be “important for businesses and residents to know what West Vancouver will look like in the future if we don’t—as a community—act boldly and act soon. The community needs to be aware of how important the October 2018 election will be for our future, what the issues are and what’s at stake."
Be there to hear Mayor Mike and ask your most unplugged questions.

Mayor Mike, Unplugged is never politics as usual.  It’s your opportunity to hear what our future is really about, unvarnished—with great wine, great food, in great company.  Be there.  Bring your questions.

A big thank you to Ralph Sultan, M.L.A (West Vancouver-Capilano) and Jordan Sturdy, M.L.A (West Vancouver-Sea to Sky) for their informative presentation of highlights from the 2017 Budget to our business community, at the Chamber's breakfast meeting at the Hollyburn Country Club last week.  Details on the 2017 Budget HERE

District of West Vancouver wants to Hear from YOU to help plan the Future.

What are the guiding principles that the District of West Vancouver should be following to plan for the future?  An Official Community Plan (OCP) is a Council-approved document for managing land use.  the OCP is the District’s number one planning tool for the next five to ten years, and touches citizens’ lives in some way every day: how housing needs can be met, where shops, services and community facilities are located, and more. The current OCP was adopted in 2004 and the District is reviewing and refreshing it and wants to hear from you.

Taste of the Bay  - 10th Anniversary Edition April 20

The original Taste of the Bay will take place on Thursday April 20th from 5:30-8:00 pm. Tickets will be on sale April 1st at Troll’s, Blenz, in Horseshoe Bay, and the Gleneagles Community Centre.  We hope to see you at this great community event presented by the Horseshoe Bay Business Association. Participants purchase a ticket with a map on it that entitles them to a tasting or sample that our various merchants will feature: wine, cheese, fruit, cupcakes, ice cream, coffee, gift cards...  and more.  The money raised from this popular event goes towards promotion of Horseshoe Bay as a destination, and to community events that continue to connect the merchants with the locals – such as Movie Night in the Park and the Carol/Bonfire on the Beach night.
