CVWMA's electronics recycling program helps citizens properly dispose of unwanted equipment instead of landfilling them where they could cause soil, water or air contamination. CVWMA and select member governments have coordinated the listed special electronics recycling collection event opportunities for residents in central Virginia. Some localities include other special items for recycling at these single day collection events such as document shredding, HHW, and tires.
Please visit www.cvwma.com for updates and more information.
ACCEPTED ITEMS and FEES
Most electronic waste items are accepted at no charge, but there are fees to recycle for each CRT- television or monitor. CRTs require special handling due to the leaded glass and mercury they contain.
Cash or check accepted for fee payment.
