Arrive Early! Carpool on Sunday!
We are expecting a large crowd on Sunday morning due to over 100 guests from Choir Fest. Please plan to carpool and arrive early to find parking on side streets (please don’t park on both sides of the streets) to allow for those with young children and mobility issues to park closest to the Fellowship. Thank you.

UUFR’s 2017 Generosity Campaign has begun with a strong response. Sixty-five pledges toward our goal of 300 have been received. Those pledging to date have increased their giving by 15.4%. We are $216,800 closer to our goal. We are on track to bring on a strong ministerial candidate and restore staff hours.

To date, we are surpassing our goal of increasing pledges by at least 12% over last year’s campaign. We are on track to bring on a strong ministerial candidate and restore staff hours.

Let’s keep this momentum going!
•  If a visiting steward calls, make time to meet with her or him.
•  Review the material in the pledge mailing or on the Generosity webpage.
•  Within your means make the largest pledge feasible.
•  Make an online pledge now.

It takes a village and when we work together we do perform miracles
The Flea Market is unbelievable. From a pile of leftovers strewn on the floor of Founders Hall, to tables laden with sorted treasures, to the pricing of each item, to angels who bring tasty snacks for the workers, and to astute detectives who cull out merchandise for Craigslist, it transforms and flows.Lines of potential customers wait for the doors to open at 8 a.m., rush in, choose goodies which were not even on their list of needs, and check out. At noon a new crew comes to pack it up for Cause for Paws, a new speed record was set as we finished at 12:40, and we reached the final accounting, this time somewhere close to $2,000.

Who makes it happen? Tom Karches, Salinda Tyson, Barbara Norman, Dianne Hain, Linda Rogers, Beth and Jim Flannagan, Jan Russell, Jessica Sinha, Gorden Gross, Whit and Linda Hames, Martin Perry, Nancy Devereux, John McLain, John and Joseph DeBosky, Sonja Quinn, Pat McLaughlin, Jeff Fisk, Pat Butler, Hao and Joe Williams, Bo Chagnon, Margaret Neate, Kate Duprey, Pat Ward, Sasha Ostrum, Christina Stableford, Billy Liles, Erik Dyke, Jo Nerhood, Diann Irwin, Arlene Jarvela, Janet Rattray, Kurt Johnson, Leah Bug, Sue Denton and apologies if I forgot to give you credit.

Copier Use
A gentle reminder to please be mindful of your use of our office copier. We are getting a new machine because we have been wearing out our old one by making over twice the number of copies that we are allowed to in our contract. This leads to steep overage fines as well as wear and tear on the machine. Please ask Mary for the appropriate copy code to use for your materials and check in with her if you need to make more than 100 copies.

Where's Tryst?
Tryst Chagnon, our DRE, will be on leave until March 21st. She will take some furlough leave and will undergo eye surgery.

ASL Interpreter
We have a deaf community member who would like to begin attending our Sunday services in April and so we are putting out the call for a volunteer ASL interpreter. If you would be able to do this, please contact Mary at office@uufr.org.

Calling all UUFR Scouts!
Revs. John and Sasha have invited Girl, Boy & Spiral scouts of all genders and ages to participate in Scout Sunday March 12th! Please let Ivy Breivogel (poisonivybb@gmail.com) know if you’d like to get involved, including scout names & ages. Scouts will participate in and lead the service and parents are needed to help with planning and facilitation. Please email Ivy with any questions and your ideas! Our next practice is 1:00 this Sunday in Clara Barton after a 12:30 lunch (bring food) in Schweitzer.

Additional Circle Dinners Added
The initial six Circle Dinners filled quickly. New ones will be posted this Sunday. So check your calendar for April and May and sign up. Potluck dinners provide an opportunity to meet with other UU’s in a small group for relaxed socializing. Sign up in the lobby for the spring round of Circle Dinners. The host usually provides the entrée and guests bring the other courses. Contact Pat Butler at patabutler3@gmail.com with questions.

UUFR Kids Corner Needs Your Help
We could use more volunteers to help staff Kids Corner during Coffee Hour. This is an easy opportunity to get to know fellow members and their kids. Volunteering just involves setting up prior to coffee hour and putting snacks/activities away at the end. More info and signup can be found at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0e44ada92da6f49-uufr.

Photo Directory
Think it would be great if we had a photo directory of all our members? It would be available as a printed directory as well as a digital directory and could be updated throughout the year. In order to do this, we would need a team of volunteers to coordinate photo sessions, help spread the word, and more. Interested? Please email Mary at office@uufr.org.

UUFR is hosting a workshop for adults and teens facilitated by Triangle Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ). This workshop will be led by Triangle SURJ members who have planned and prepared together to offer the workshop. To RSVP or for more information, please contact Rev. Sasha at sashao@uufr.org. For more information about SURJ, please visit www.showingupforracialjustice.org.
