Business executives and city officials spoke about Plano’s transformation
Feb. 21 at the sold-out “Plano: The Intersection of Opportunity” event held at Gaedeke Group’s One Legacy West Tower. There was much discussion about employee retention strategies, forthcoming public transit needs and other factors that are fueling the city’s dynamic economic growth. More than 600 Attend 8th Annual
Northeast Tarrant Transportation Summit
The 8th annual Northeast Tarrant Transportation Summit was held Feb. 17 at the Hurst Conference Center. This has become one of the largest transportation events in Texas, and this year’s program showcased a variety of speakers and panels discussing the future of transportation in Tarrant County, statewide and nationally. Cooksey helped the Office of Tarrant County Commissioner Gary Fickes with marketing, speakers, program content, logistics and media relations.

The Irving Music Factory at Las Colinas
Takes Shape as Construction Progresses
Construction on The Irving Music Factory at Las Colinas is rapidly progressing with the shape of the amphitheater and other buildings taking clear form. As the team begins to shift some of its attention toward interior construction, Cooksey partnered with Skanska and ARK Group to conduct a hard-hat tour Feb. 2 for local media to get an early view of the structures that soon will be occupied by office, retail, restaurant and entertainment tenants. Cooksey secured participation by approximately 20 dignitaries and media representing The Dallas Morning News, Dallas Business Journal, D CEO Magazine, WFAA-TV, KTVT-TV, KDFW-TV, the Greater Irving – Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce and the City of Irving, among others. Tours were led by Eric Bunner of Skanska, the project’s construction manager, and Noah Lazes of ARK Group, the project’s developer. Read more.
