PTO International Food Fair
학부모회 국제 음식 바자회
家教协会国际美食节
Dalat PTO will be hosting its annual International Food Fair
TODAY, 10 March, from 4 to 6 p.m. This event, held on campus, is a wonderful time to enjoy fellowship and sample food from around the world. During this event you can also participate in the annual “Junior for Hire.” We invite you all to support their fundraising efforts.
Food Fair coupons (RM20 per booklet) will be on sale at the food fair.
Junior for Hire Fundraiser
기금 마련을 위한 11학년 고용 이벤트
十一年级劳动拍卖会
The Grade 11 students, the Junior Class, will be auctioning off their skills and services at the PTO International Food Fair on today on campus about 5 p.m.
This is a great opportunity to hire a student to help with those jobs around the house that never seem to get done, or to hire a student to tutor your children, plan a birthday party, or babysit for three hours.
Services will be offered for:
- Hosting a birthday party
- Sports and music lessons
- Child care
- Dinner or Baking made for you
- and many more!
The funds raised will provide money for the Junior Class to host JSB for the senior class in April and for their senior class activities next year. The Junior Class activities provide an education for life to our students by teaching them they have to earn their money and to serve and help others with their talents and skills.

MS iPad Donation Request
In the middle school, we have been working towards improving students’ access to technology for a few years. We have made the decision that we want the technology we place in the hands of the students to be owned and managed by the school. This allows us to set the parental controls and to manage what content is on the devices. We currently have 86 iPads in middle school and are hoping to purchase at least 60 more for next year. In an effort to have more devices available for students, we are also asking for donations of old, used iPads.
If you have replaced your iPad with a newer model and have an old one in a drawer somewhere, please consider donating that to Dalat school. We will erase everything from the device and set it up with only the apps and content we want to have available for students. This will help us to increase our student-device ratio more quickly. If you have an iPad to donate, either mini or full-size, please bring it to Ms. Wood or the MS computer lab.
Thank you!
Middle School Parent-Teacher Conferences
중학교 학부모 교사 면담일
初中部家长会
For middle school, the third quarter ends on 15 March. We will then be working to prepare report cards for parent conferences. Parents of middle and high school students are invited to meet with the teachers on the afternoon of Wednesday, 22 March. The students will be dismissed at 12:30 that day. From 2 to 5:30 p.m., fifth grade teachers will be available to meet with parents in their classrooms, middle school teachers in the library, and high school teachers in the chapel.
There are no assigned conference times; the time is flexible and you may meet with any of the teachers you would like to. We do ask parents to keep each conference to 10 minutes, as many parents are waiting to talk with the teachers. If you need a longer or more private conference, please schedule that with the teacher directly for another time.
Elementary School KICs Update
초등학교 방과후교실(KICs) 새 소식

Elementary School Battle of the Books
초등학교 독서경진대회
Parents are invited to come cheer for their child’s team at our 10th annual Battle of the Books Wednesday (22 March) in the chapel at 8:45 a.m. We’ll have an exciting morning with our students in Grades 1-4 as they live out this year’s theme “We love to read!”
We need about 12 more parent volunteers for a smooth competition. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Mrs. Horton (
lhorton@dalat.org) for a list of what helpers are still needed.
