Diverse Design Team

Last month I had the privilege of leading a diverse design team in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, serving a Bible seminary that is expanding to be a university.

For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.
1 Timothy 4:10

The Lord provided an amazing team of architects and engineers from Ghana, Nigeria, the U.S. and Canada. Throughout our time together He led us in unity, allowing us to listen to the dreams and vision of the FATEAC leadership and to plan with them for future site improvements and buildings. We also had the opportunity to collaborate with an Ivorian architect/civil engineer who has been working with FATEAC already.
It was encouraging to hear how God is at work through Biblical training of new pastors, and it was a joy to worship the King of kings with our brothers and sisters there. We were tremendously blessed by the warm welcome and to see the growth of God's kingdomPray with us as we complete plans and designs for the expansion project, including a library, medical program and clinic, a place where more would set their hope on Jesus.

Céline's Senegal Visit

Céline came to visit Senegal over her recent week-long break from Bible classes! We spent the time talking and dreaming together, visiting friends, going to local markets, and doing some sightseeing. Praise God for all that she is learning through this year set apart to study His Word.

Prayer & Praise

  • Praise God for His amazing provision for our Senegal team: connections with people and ministries, homes to rent, office space and equipment!
  • Pray with us for wisdom in our work throughout the West African zone.
  • Praise God for His provision to raise $200 of monthly support!
  • Pray for wisdom and understanding as Céline and I plan for our life together, especially with her request for French citizenship in November 2017.

Upcoming Marriage

Céline and I plan to get married in Massy, France on June 10, 2017. Thank you for your prayers and support as we prepare. To contribute toward our life as a couple, visit our registry.
We plan to return to Senegal together in July for a few months before we will likely need to go back temporarily to France for Céline's French naturalization application. In September, I plan to help lead a team to DR Congo, designing additions for a nursing school.
