London International Fair
Friday June 2nd and Saturday June 3rd 2017
The PBFA International fair is on the horizon once again, so Marcia and I are about to swing into action with the final organisation for this years event. At the moment the fair is fully booked, and has a short waiting list. But if you are interested in taking a stand, let the PBFA office know and we can add you to the waiting list.
The ILEC Centre is always a popular venue, and takes were up to a healthy average of £6,000+ last year. We hope to build on that success this year, and offer even more to our exhibitors.

The Shuttle Service
Over the years we have tried various attempts at improving the transport between the ILEC fair and the Olympia fair. From Minibuses to taxis, via Rickshaws, we have strived to ferry both dealers and the public between the venues. (Actually, come to think of it, a ferry is one of the few methods we haven't tried)! This year, we have decided to give a London Bus a try. (we must give due thanks to Marianne at the ABA for having this idea and finding the hire company). On Friday, there will be a double decker bus, and on Saturday a single decker. One of the advantages of this arrangement, is that they can use the bus lanes - so we hope they will be able to whisk you between the fairs at a tremendous rate.

Space and layout ...
If you would like to request extra space at the fair, please let us know. Marc has heard from a few people who wish to add on either a table, a stack, or who need a double stand. There is still scope to offer this extra space, but it does need to be marked out on the plan as soon as possible to try to make sure everyone gets what they want. If you have already asked for extra on your booking form - then we already know! When organising space that has not already been booked, priority will be given to getting those people on the waiting list into the fair.
Loading and unloading at the Fair
In consultation with the hotel, we think we have improved the arrangements for loading up at the end of the fair - so this should be a smooth exit from the conference centre, getting you on your way home quickly. We are able to set up a one way system around the hotel so that we don't spill over onto the road. We hope that we can organise Thursday evening set up as per previous years - but as ever, this is dependant on other bookings at the IBIS. We will not know until about 10 days before the fair if Thursday unloading is possible.
Bed and Breakfast at the IBIS Hotel
We have managed to arrange a (very slightly) better rate at the IBIS hotel for PBFA members during the fair. Please contact the IBIS directly to ask for the terms. The code is PBFA-2017 (obviously!) The IBIS hotel is +44 (0)207 6100880 If you don't quote the code - you will be told they are full.
We have also negotiated preferential rates with a London Hotel booking agency, who can offer discounts against the advertised rates for a number of hotels in the area. (Click on the blue name for their web page.)
Glass Cases and Tables
Finally, we have renewed our arrangement to make glass display cabinets available for exhibitors. The price has been held the same as last year - £165 (+ vat)
We hope that these will encourage you to bring some of your very finest stock, knowing that it will be displayed to its best advantage. The cabinet rental company will bring and install the cabinets, which have low voltage bulbs in them. There are only a limited number of spaces available with glass cabinets, so you will need to contact us quickly to secure one. Details are below.
