Virginia native MARIE MILLER has announced her debut album Letterbox, which will be released April 28 through Curb Records. Pre-orders for the album begin today via http://flyt.it/Letterbox, where fans can get instant downloads for three tracks off the album; “Glitter Gold”, “Lost At Sea”, and Miller’s previously released hit single “This Side Of Paradise”. PopDust debuted the announcement and premiered the singles “Glitter Gold” and “Lost At Sea”, noting that the tracks “firmly [solidify] her place as a songwriter of maturity and resonant emotional power.”
“So excited to share this brand new music,” Marie exclaims. “It's been a labor of love, and I couldn't be happier that it will now be out in the world.”
Within Letterbox’s 12 tracks, Marie Miller has committed to artistic growth, continuing her heartfelt approach to songwriting while featuring a larger, fuller arrangement to surround her emotive vocals, equally adept at conveying the vibrantly empowered (“The Next Best Thing”) and uninhibited vulnerable (“Lost at Sea”) sides of her stories. Working with producers Eric Rosse (Sara Bareilles, Tory Amos, & Mary Lambert) and Chad Copelin (Ben Rector, Sufjan Stevens & Christina Perri), Miller moved decisively into a new creative milieu with Letterbox. At a time where much of art, industry, culture, and society has unfortunately become so shamelessly self-satisfied with rehashes, reboots, vapid virality, and slogan-centric chest-pounding, Miller brings a refreshing sense of earnestness and humanity to her platform.
