Updates for the Week of March 12, 2017

Crews with Sundt-Davila Joint Venture continue excavation at the tunnel inlet to prepare for the construction of new channel walls and fountains. Storm drain system installation also continues. Utility relocation on Nueva Street will be completed this week and the road will reopen before the week of March 19.

Construction Tour
On Friday, March 31, the San Antonio River Authority will offer a public construction tour of the San Pedro Creek Improvements Project. Participants will meet at 10 a.m. at the Christopher Columbus Italian Society at 201 Piazza Italia. Participants will be provided with safety vests and glasses and a hard hat. Please wear closed-toed shoes and long pants.

• The westbound lane of Nueva Street is closed.
• Houston Street from Laredo Street to Camaron Street is closed. The westbound lane of Houston Street from Flores Street to Camaron Street is also closed.
• One lane of Camaron Street is open from the Santa Rosa Street Bridge to the San Pedro Creek tunnel inlet.
• Camaron Street from Houston Street to the Santa Rosa Street Bridge is closed. Vehicular traffic is allowed to cross Camaron Street at intersections.
• One lane of Santa Rosa Street from the tunnel inlet to Martin Street is closed.
• Pedestrians should follow detour signage along Santa Rosa, Travis, Martin, Kingsbury and Flores Streets.

• Camaron Street from Houston Street to Travis Street is now closed to facilitate construction of San Pedro Creek and the Frost Bank Tower.
• North Santa Rosa Street between West Martin and San Saba Streets will close beginning  Monday, March 13.

• The construction team will continue installing equalizer piping under the creek channel from the tunnel inlet to Santa Rosa Street.
• Footings for planters and walls will be set at the inlet structure.
• Crews will continue storm drainage work from the tunnel inlet to Santa Rosa Street.
• Demolition of the creek channel under the Santa Rosa Street bridge continues.
• Demolition of a portion of the parking lot west of the creek between Travis and Houston Streets will begin.
• Tree removal in accordance with the City of San Antonio Tree Preservation Ordinance will continue from Martin Street south.
• Site fencing with project screens will be installed along the remainder of the project limits, once tree removal has been completed in each area.
• Utility crews will conclude utility relocation on Nueva Street.
