All of us at the YWCA feel fortunate for the support and involvement of our community in many ways, and this has been especially beautiful this month.
I saw many of you at our International Women's Day event, a comedy night called "My Jokes Are Up Here." We were grateful for the support of the Broadway Theatre, 98COOL, Cruz FM, Calories Restaurant and LB Distillers.
I would like to specially recognize the organizers and actors who produced Eve Ensler's Vagina Monolgues and selected the YWCA Crisis Shelter & Residence as their beneficiary. Thanks to the sponsors Masala Model & Talent, W. Brett Wilson, and the Saskatoon Inn.
I always appreciate the hard working volunteers of the Opportunity Shop, our YWCA thrift shop on First Ave., and would like to recognize them for their support of YWCA Adopt A Room through fundraising.
Thank you for everything you do this coming month to make our community a more compassionate place!

Executive Director, YWCA

We want to be your first gym. What is it like getting started at the YWCA?
"I set a goal to get more active. My friends who work out here say it's not too intimidating to get started. I like that my membership dollars help support community work..."
We know our customers, and we call them our friends
Today, as often happens, a customer complimented us on the thrift shop. She said it always looks so clean, and well organized. She loves to shop with us. She also donated some family jewelry treasures because she "knows and appreciates all the good work we do." Read the full article here.
CRISIS SHELTER & RESIDENCE
Self-Love and a Caring Volunteer
Last month was the usual celebration of romance and couple-focused activities all around us. At the YWCA shelter, we celebrated with a focus on self-love and celebrating life. A volunteer who has provided countless hours of childcare to the children who stay at the shelter created a special bouquets of flowers in handmade vases to hand out to the women on the shelter floor. Thank you! Your gift was so special.
