New Performers and Ensembles for NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES 27: GARBO announced - hailing from Cleveland, Vancouver, Philadelphia and NYC. And the Love Remains!
Enchanted Greetings at less than two months till The Night! Its always exciting to announce the year's new performers and ensembles, chosen over a two month review process that starts in early January. Our five NOTS 27 debuts come from near and far and will interpret our beloved Stevie in several performance disciplines including vocals, dance/performance and lip-synch. Read down for details and this year's (nearly) complete roster and DJs.
NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES - the largest and most beloved STEVIE NICKS fan event in the world - returns to New York City's IRVING PLAZA on May 5 for its twenty-seventh annual edition. This marathon evening is produced by show founders CHI CHI VALENTI and JOHNNY DYNELL and their creative krewe at THE JACKIE FACTORY. NOTS is one of those great New York City spectacles that spark travel from all around the globe. This year the show pays homage to Stevie's many Hollywood themes, beginning with the beloved title song GARBO.
This year's five debuts represent a wide range of Stevie Nicks interpretations. LORI MATUSZ is a longtime Cleveland, Ohio " Legend of Stevie Realness" and frontwoman for the band GypsyMac. The reigning MISS FIRE ISLAND, crooner SIR HONEY DAVENPORT is a NYC rising star. BODY DREAMZ - a performance art/dance troupe based in Philadelphia - promise to "embody and communicate the magic of Stevie's music through dance". Upper Manhattan theme queen GOLDIE LOX serves up comic relief and classic lipsynch. Finally, Vancouver's folky vocalist PAULINA DYMEL, who will travel thousands of miles to enchant the NOTS audience. For this silvery edition our returning performers and ensembles are show stars AMBER MARTIN, CATHY CERVENKA (of THE HO-HOs), DIVINE GRACE (ORLANDO), HEATHER LITTEER, IT WAS ROMANCE, KAREN AND THE SORROWS, LADY ZOMBIE, MACHINE DAZZLE, POISON EVE, SLEVY NICKS and FLEETWOOD MAXX, VELOCITY CHYALDD and XAVIER. Our Magickal DJ/VJ team is once again DJ SAMMY JO and TRAVIS ISLAND/ VJ TRE (DC) and the "Enchantresses of Ceremony" will include Valenti with PAUL ALEXANDER, HATTIE HATHAWAY and many special guests.

More on our theme: GARBO is a classic that goes back to the roots of NOTS and its early icons, and the Stevie Nicks connections to Hollywood run even deeper. There is 24 KARAT GOLD selection MABEL NORMAND and its "Hollywood Babylon" retelling, the black and white Golden Age film flashbacks in the FLEETWOOD MAC video for GYPSY, Stevie's former Hollywood Hills mansion once owned by Silent Film Queen VILMA BANKY, and the referencing of the City of Angels dream/nightmare in songs like "After The Glitter Fades". The producers invite our audience to "lose yourself in a silvery dress" and join us in the Norma Desmond glamour of the Irving Plaza ballroom on May 5.
