Take Part in Humanities Advocacy Day from Home

On March 13th and March 14th, we will welcome a record-breaking number of humanities advocates to Washington D.C. for Humanities Advocacy Day! Representing 45 states, they will meet with hundreds of Congressional offices to make the case for federal funding for the humanities.

For those who cannot join us in D.C., please join the effort from home by calling your Members of Congress on Tuesday to tell them that you support NEH!

On Tuesday morning, we will send a Humanities Advocacy Day action alert urging advocates to call their Members of Congress. By clicking on the link, we will patch you through to your Senator’s and Representative’s offices. We’ll also provide a script for those who want one!

For now, please set aside 5-10 minutes on Tuesday (between 9 and 5 EST) to make these calls, and spread the word now and on Humanities Advocacy Day. The day’s hashtag is #HAD17.

Together, we will send a clear message that we oppose the Trump administration’s efforts to eliminate funding for the National Endowment for the Humanities!

We look forward to advocating with you next Tuesday!
