Let's Get Started Quick & Easy...

Promised a quick and easy way to sent emails to those who will be voting on ballot Access for us and here it is.  There are TWO LINKS.  One is for the House Bill Sponsors the other for the "House Local Government Subcommittee" members who will have HB0662 before them this Tuesday, March 14, 2017.  All you need to do is click on each link and an email form should pop up with your email client.
Please take time to edit the "SUBJECT" LINE and type a personal not prior to the built in message and add your name / signature block below it if your email client does not put it in for you.

First of all CLICK HERE to send an email thanking the House Sponsors of HB0662 ballot access.  The bill reduces the number of signatures from 33,000+ to 5,000 valid signatures for be on the ballot STATEWIDE.  It reduces the number of votes to remain on the ballot to 1.5% from 2.5%.  While the bill does not go as far as we like it is considerably better than what we have.

The Subject will read:  Thank your for sponsoring HB0662 on Ballot Access

The Text:  Thank your for sponsoring HB0662 on Ballot access.  It has been a long time coming and we look forward to your continued support in moving it forward.
I am with the Constitution Party of Tennessee and your impact on liberty.  Your efforts will not be forgotten!

Subject: Please Support HB0662 in committee Tuesday Mar 14, 2017

Body Text as it should appear in your email client:

Dear Representative:
I would appreciate your support of HB0662 on Tuesday March 14, 2017.  It is the right thing to do.  While we would appreciate a lower number of required signatures than the 5,000 in this bill it is a huge improvement over the current 33,000+ required for a minor party to get on the ballot.
I understand there is now a "fiscal note" attached to this bill.  Know that the Constitution Party of Tennessee does NOT wish participation in  primaries.  We would not want our party's selection of candidates to be a burden to tax payers.
However, if a fiscal note is not removed from the bill  $2500 per county, though unlikely, would be insignificant compared to the expense of the current major party primary expenses spent every election year without batting an eye.  The fiscal note should not be an excuse to kill this bill before all Representatives are afforded the chance to vote on it.  I believe that is why it is called "Representative Government."

Thank you!

BE SURE AND PUT YOUR SIGNATURE HERE!
