Newsletter
March 2017 Edition

Hello!  The start of the year has been really busy at Find Your Spark delivering training to the YMCA, young mums referred through the JobCentre/DWP, carer entrepreneurs starting up their own businesses, young people within schools and charity organisations and parents and professionals on our public 'Developing your Resilience' course, which we ran on 27th January.

The theme for this month's newsletter is RESILIENCE and how we can cope better when it feels as though the world is against us.  We hope that you find the content we share this month useful.

We appreciate how busy you are so thank you for taking the time to read this edition.  Do get in touch as we love hearing for you and are happy to help in whatever way we can!

Developing your Resilience training, Colchester, UK.
On 27th Jan, we delivered our Resilience training to professionals from schools, Community Interest Companies and parents in the public at Stanway Federation Learning Centre.  Feedback received included: "I am going to signpost young people, schools and families to your service as a result of this training."

On the back of this, we have decided to run this training again on 24th March.  If you/your staff would like to benefit from this training too, please email michelle@findyourspark.co.uk to book your place for just £90 pp. Hurry, we are filling up quick due to word of mouth!

Alternatively, we can come and deliver this in house to your staff which we are doing for one Wickford school in June.  Get in touch to find out more.
Colchester Big Choice Award

We were honoured to be shortlisted for the Colchester Big Choice Award and would be most grateful if those living in Colchester could please vote for us by 10th March via this link: http://www.colchester.gov.uk/bigchoice  Winning will enable us to offer free/low cost spaces to people who cannot afford to attend our trainings.

Useful article to read

We took part in the Colchester Soup in January, which is an event where people pay £5 to attend, have some soup and watch people pitch for the soup money.  We were humbled and honoured to win the £170 pot of money at the end of the night, which has helped us be able to run our Resilience training on 24th March to specifically parents with autistic children.  Read more about the soup here: http://www.colchestersoup.co.uk/ and specifically our win here: http://colchesterlife.co.uk/blog/social-enterprise-find-your-spark/

This month, we have been reading A LOT about resilience and how we can learn to cope better with stresses and learn to become more resilient.
