Hi <<First Name>>,

Happy  St. Patrick's Day!
As we officially move into the second half of the legislative session, I am proud of the achievements that we have made for Senate District 5. Even more so, I am excited about getting into the district and talking with constituents in the coming weeks.
Two Months Until Colorado Public Lands Day!
Last session I passed a bill to make the third Saturday in May Colorado Public Lands Day and now our first ever Colorado Public Lands Day is right around the corner!

Coloradans love living and working in Colorado because of our State’s natural beauty of our public lands. Colorado Public Lands Day will honor Colorado’s public lands by bringing attention to our diverse, natural beauty and sending a message to all about the importance of our public lands to our quality of life and local economies.

On May 20th, 2017 Coloradans will have an opportunity to celebrate our Colorado public lands.

If you are interested in planning an event for public lands day please call my office at 303-866-4871.

Legislature/ Congress briefs: Telehealth Bill on Way to Governor

Bill Headed to Governor will Allow Ballot Selfies

On International Women's Day, Legislature Calls on Corporations to Add More Females to Boards
(This resolution came to the Senate on a unanimous vote from the House. Resolutions do not make law but instead can observe a cause or celebrate a notable event or person. This resolution suggested and urged the corporate boards in Colorado to strive for more gender diversity. Eleven members of the Senate voted against this goal. I was both saddened and upset that so many of my colleagues did not support women being encouraged to take leadership roles in the business world.)
