> BBC Writersroom Scotland: The Break III
BBC Writersroom Scotland is launching a new talent search for the third series of The Break, a series of short-form monologues aimed at writers born or living in Scotland. They are looking for funny, emotional or thought provoking stories that reflect the diversity of modern Scotland and offer a contemporary look at Scottish life.

> Edwin Morgan Translation Fellowships
These Fellowships are available to professional translators with an interest in twentieth-century and contemporary Scottish writing. The two Fellowships will provide fully-funded places on their six-week Text and Context course, including the Modernism, Scottish Literature, and Contemporary Literature modules.

> The John McGrath Scholarship
The scholarship covers the course and accommodation fees for the Theatre and Performance course for one theatre student or playwright.

The National Theatre of Scotland was established in 2006 and has created over 200 productions. Being a theatre without walls, the company presents a wide variety of work that ranges from large-scale productions to projects tailored to the smallest performing spaces. In addition to conventional theatres, the company has performed in airports, schools, tower blocks, community halls, ferries and forests.
This month, playwright AJ Taudevin will be developing her new play at the National Theatre of Scotland's new building, Rockvilla, as part of her Writers Project with Playwrights' Studio, Scotland.
