RWA Statement on Release of Mobility Fund Phase II Report, Order, and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking
Washington, D.C., March 7, 2017 – The following statement may be attributed to Carri Bennet, the Rural Wireless Association’s (“RWA”) General Counsel:
RWA welcomes the release of the Mobility Fund Phase II (“MFII”) Order, and is reviewing it with great interest. In particular, RWA remains pleased that the challenge process will be addressed by a Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking. There is no program more vital to maintaining and expanding mobile voice and broadband services in rural America – as such, RWA looks forward to its continued collaboration with FCC Commissioners and staff to ensure that rural Americans and those traveling through rural America have access to mobile broadband services.
About RWA – Headquartered in Washington, D.C., RWA - the Rural Wireless Association is a trade association representing rural wireless carriers who each serve fewer than 100,000 subscribers.
