ACTIVITY DIRECTOR STATE CERTIFICATION CLASS: on March 31, April 1 and 2 (you must attend all sessions) from 8:30 to 5:00 each day at The Springs Living Center in Wilsonville, OR. Text book of 147 pages included in class plus worksheets. Please RSVP and request information and application for class if interested - Cost of class 220.00 for early registration. Registration after March 15 add additional 30.00.
ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE AND DEMENTIA CARE TRAINING on April 26th from 8:00 to 5:00 PM at Bonaventure in Tigard (registration check in at 7:30) This seminar is a path to certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioner. This is the required live seminar for those pursuing CDP certifications and who qualify through NCCDP. THIS CLASS IS BEING OFFERED AT AN INTRODUCTORY COST OF 120.00 (a reduced rate of the original cost of 185.00 for future classes). This class will prepare you for the Dementia Focused Surveys and will give you 8 hour of CEU credits of Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Training for Activity Professionals, Social Service and Administrators. Successful attendees will be able to apply to the NCCDP for their National Certification if they qualify. We encourage anyone who has their Oregon State Activity Director Certification to bring their Certification for an additional discount for this class of $20.00. Class covers 10 essential areas of dementia and skill sets to meet this standard. Please RSVP or request additional information and applications forms to register for the class. Registration must be completed and submitted by April 20th, no walk ins permitted unless confirmation was given by instructor. All materials must be order prior to class date and cancellations refunds of 50% of your class cost only permitted if written request is received by April 18th.
