  • From Pastor Amy - What does it mean to be born again and how can that happen for us daily?
  • Good Shepherd’s Girl Scouts, Lulu and Poppy Bellrichard and Abby Larson, will participate in the service.  Today is the 105th birthday of the Girl Scouts.
  • The Good Shepherd Band will perform during the Offertory and provide the Gathering Music and Postlude.

March 10 - H.George Anderson’s 85th birthday. Friends are invited to join the surprise card shower - address is 359 E. Paseo Verde, Green Valley, AZ, 85614.  Anderson was president of Luther College (1982-1995) and second Presiding Bishop of the ELCA (1995-2001).

March 14, 7:00 p.m. - “White Privilege: Let’s Talk” - This last Small Group Conversation will focus on Part 4 of the curriculum: On Becoming an Ally.  Pastor Amy, Jon Ailabouni, and Sara Hanssen have led these Tuesday evening sessions at Good Shepherd. All study resources can be downloaded here: http://privilege.uccpages.org/

Special Lent and Easter Offerings will be given to The Campaign for the ELCA and Northeast Iowa Path to Citizenship. Sunday School Lenten Tree Project offerings will be divided between Good Shepherd’s Reformation Grove and LWR’s Sustainable Response to the East African Drought. 

Lutheran World Relief Personal Care Kits - The congregation is invited to participate in WELCA’s Lenten Project to aid families in need around the world by providing selected Items for the Care Kits.This week, dark-colored, lightweight bath towels and wrapped bars of bath-size soap may be placed in the labelled basket in the Narthex. 

Luther College’s Conference Liberating Grace: The Power of the Reformation in the World Today, Friday, March 31 - Saturday, April 1, includes exhibitions, seminars, workshops, key-note speakers, and a musical performance.  All are open to the public, but some events require tickets obtained in advance.
