Pray for "H," our hearts go out to her so...

You might remember me sharing about a specific family, back in October, who lost their husband/father back in Iran, and then tragically lost a 10 year old son/brother in a drowning accident as they walked through Macedonia on their way to Austria. I refer to the mother as “H,” and she has four remaining children, ages 3, 6, 12, and 13 (in photo above, partially blurry on purpose). We lost touch with them when they got relocated to Vienna, but we are now back in direct contact with them due to a crisis in their lives. There have been unfounded accusations against the mother, all four children have been placed in a crisis center, and she is in danger of the court ruling against her. PLEASE pray that the TRUTH is fully revealed & confirmed, and that her children are returned to her. The case against her is built on lies, and much shame has been heaped upon her. And to think, she came all this way to save her children from harm! PLEASE pray that her case will be entirely cleared -- we have been told that a judgment is to be made on March 21st. On a positive note, she is considering Jesus deeply, and prayed that He would show Himself to her. She wants to know the Truth. She now has an audio Bible, which she needs because she has an incurable eye disease and is going blind. She already cannot see enough to read. Pray for her and her children!!

Last month, I got to preach/teach at one of the four Farsi-speaking churches in Vienna for the first time (pictured above). Farsi is the language of Iran and Afghanistan. It was such a blessing to worship with them. I knew some of them from The Oasis, but many were new faces to me. The church is growing, and their discipleship meetings are greatly appreciated by the 20 that attend. At the Arabic church, where I am now scheduled to preach once a month, I usually "just" share the Gospel, as most people there are still seeking out the Truth. I was able to teach there last week, and there must have been 70 people there. Pray that they keep seeking (there are also four Arabic churches in Vienna).

In February, I found a super-cheap flight to NJ, and was able to make a special one-week trip to surprise my Dad for his 80th birthday. It was a wonderful week, and a huge blessing for my Dad. I really “knocked his socks off” when I walked in, and we had some good times together. Well worth the expense and the time! As for our family here, Michi is still busy teaching algebra part-time, and we pray that a part-time office job at her school will open up for next year. Evelyn just turned 4 this month, and Oliver is 2. They are doing great, and bring us joy, frustrations, smiles, laughter, surprises, challenges, and worries every day. :) Thank you so much, Ken & Michi Meyer
