Gen. Philip BreedloveRussian and Western interests appear to be on a collision course. Nations bordering Russia are anxious about Russian intentions and the resolve of the West. Can a new cold war be avoided? Can a new course be charted that preserves NATO and the transatlantic alliance?

To explore these questions, we are honored to feature remarks by General Philip Breedlove, who retired from his position as SACEUR in July 2016. During his 40-year career in the military, he completed nine overseas tours and held numerous key commands and staff positions. These included Vice Chief of Staff for the U.S. Air Force and Vice Director for Strategic Plans and Policy on the Joint Staff, as well as Supreme Allied Commander Europe for NATO.
