The newsletter for community woodlands in Wales
Y cylchlythyr ar gyfer coetiroedd cymunedol yng Nghymru

It's March already and we hope your woodlands are bristling with life and activity. A quick reminder to any Group that has yet to complete the Llais y Goedwig survey to get in touch. It has been wonderful listening to the achievements of our members and how groups envisage the future of Llais y Goedwig.

This is your newsletter so if you have any events, activities, or courses taking place, or if you want an item mentioned or feel we are not including something please get in touch. The deadline for April newsletter is 7th April.

Don’t forget you can stay in touch with other members by posting on the Facebook Page. We also have an email group and the website.

Mae hi'n fis Mawrth yn barod ac rydym yn gobeithio bod eich coetiroedd yn frith o fywyd a gweithgarwch. Nodyn sydyn i atgoffa unrhyw Grŵp sydd heb gwblhau arolwg Llais y Goedwig eto i gysylltu â ni. Mae wedi bod yn braf gwrando ar gyflawniadau ein haelodau a sut mae’r grwpiau yn rhagweld dyfodol Llais y Goedwig.

Llyn Parc Mawr Skillshare

Join members Llyn Parc Mawr at their Skillshare in April. There will be a host of demonstrations and activities that members can take part in, and why not join in the Mad Hatters Tea Party whilst you're there!
Travel expenses for members can be claimed on a first come first serve basis.

Bee Friendly Wales

A brand new scheme, has been launched to protect bees and other pollinators in Wales.

Bee Friendly, or Caru Gwenyn, is a new Wales-wide accreditation scheme where communities, groups, and others can achieve "Bee Friendly" status.

Coed y Bont Success

Chris Harris, a member of Coed Y Bont woodland and a Llais y Goedwig Director was Highly Commended for his entry in the Gordon Miller Award at the CMA conference earlier this year.
The award acknowledges a person or group for their exceptional contribution to the management of the countryside of the UK.

Cafodd Chris Harris, aelod o goetir Coed y Bont ac un o Gyfarwyddwr Llais y Goedwig Ganmoliaeth Uchel am ei gofnod yng Ngwobr Gordon Miller yng nghynhadledd CMA yn gynharach eleni.

Environmental Grants

This fund is interested in projects that improve the physical environment in a way that will improve people's lives. This can include equipment, sessional salary costs, purchase of trees/plants, small capital projects and learning activities.

Active Inclusion Funding

Active Inclusion funding is available now for projects that help those facing barriers to work, training and qualifications. They are actively seeking applications from the community woodland sector that meet the qualifying criteria.

Datblygiad Polisi Coetiroedd Cymunedol

Forestry and Woodland Inquiry

The National Assembly for Wales has launched an inquiry on forestry and woodland policy. This will include looking at the Welsh Government’s delivery of its Woodlands for Wales strategy. They are seeking responses til 7th April.

Mae Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru wedi lansio ymchwiliad i bolisi coedwigaeth a choetiroedd. Bydd hyn yn cynnwys edrych ar y ffordd y mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn cyflawni ei strategaeth Coetiroedd i Gymru. Gallwch ymateb tan 7 Ebrill.
