Funeral Arrangements for Cade Werner:

David will be speaking with the 8th grade class as his schedule permits to help the students with the grieving process and answer questions they may have.

Visitation for Cade will take place this Sunday, March 19th from 1:00-6:45 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at St. John's in Rubicon. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 20th at St. John's.

St. Kilian Track Sign-up:
Parents of children 5th thru 8th grade, who would like to join track please review the attached flyer and fill out the registration form.  St. Kilian has had a track team in the past years, but this year we are going to try something different to allow our children to continue being with other schools in the community.  Instead of the track team being run through St. Kilian it will be run through the Hartford REC Department.  There is a small fee as noted on the flyer.  Please do not send registration or money through the school because Track is not being sponsored by St. Kilian this year.  This is a great opportunity for those students that love track or are interested but not sure what track is all about.   If you have any questions please contact Sara Cummings or Laurie Johnson.

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities:
A couple of our committees will be in need of new members for the start of the 2017-18 school year. Home and School will be looking to add to it's officers and School Committee will be looking for a couple of new members, too.

Home and School: The committee works with an annual budget of over $55,000, which assists in the operation of the school, as well as providing for many of the "extras" that we offer to our students and staff. This includes teacher wishlists, forensics, Lego robotics, and drama club. Home and School meets once each month for an hour or so. If you're interested in joining this committee or would like additonal information, please contact Mrs. Trimberger trimbergerj@stkiliancong.org or Dan Kulak at dankulak@yahoo.com.

School Committee: The school committee advises the principal on matters of school policy and programs. School committee also meets once monthly for 1.5 hours. If you're interested in joining this committee or would like more information please contact Mrs. Trimberger trimbergerj@stkiliancong.org or Jessica Lichtenwalner at jlichten2@gmail.com.

Ink, Toner, and Cell Phone Recycling Program:
St. Kilian School participates in a recycling program for printer ink and toner cartridges. We will also accept old cell phones and chargers. Please send your empty cartridges or phones to the school office and we will handle the recycling piece!

The Good, The Not-So-Good, and The Improved:
As a new principal, I want to understand the ways in which I meet the school community needs, ways that I can improve as your school leader, and changes that you feel would benefit the entire school community. I would appreciate your feedback at your earliest convenience. Please click here to let me know how I am doing.

Thanks,

Mrs. Trimberger
