How about that weather, eh?

No worries, Spring is just around the corner.

Check out this newsletter for some fun activities happening in the Go East region this month.  Go East is very excited to see two of our awesome communities in the race for the Small Town Saturday Night crown - check out the details and make sure to vote every day!

Psst!  The new Go East of Edmonton Travel Guide has gone to print and you'll be able to pick up a copy near you very soon!

What is Small Town Saturday Night?

Essentially, Small Town Saturday Night is a mini Big Valley Jamboree.  Sponsored by Big Valley Jamboree as a thank you for the support that many small communities have provided to make Big Valley Jamboree the success story that it is. The competition for Small Town Saturday Night allows these communities to have the opportunity to fundraise for important local projects. If they win the most votes during the competition, a Saturday night concert will be performed in their town, featuring Gord Bamford and other big name Canadian country music artists.

Go East is very pleased to see two of the great communities in our region in the running for this competition - Viking and Ashmont.  We encourage you to vote for these two communities every day until voting closes on March 27th.  Let's get one of them into the winning slot for this amazing grand prize!

The winner of Small Town Saturday Night will be announced on March 29th.  The concert in the winning community will be on April 29th.
