We power through the garbage to find the gold

Normally, I meet with clients face-to-safe to help them dump everything in their heads onto a giant whiteboard. I call it magic because dumping and culling and organizing enables you to find the gold inside the ideas for your book.

Here's what you're looking for in this earliest stage of writing your book: what will be most compelling to your reader? What is your Big Idea that will change your reader's worldview and move them to a new way of seeing things? 

But the magic of Skype (or Zoom) means that we can do the same thing remotely. You talk as I scribble madly on the whiteboard which you will see clearly behind me. Then with my input and guidance, we make sense of what's inside your head.

In addition to deconstructing your ideas to find the most book worthy ones, we brainstorm titles and chapter headings and we find a framework or structure for you book.

I take snapshots of everything we do on the whiteboard and email them to you so you can refer to them later.

Hope your spring is warmer than mine so far. It's still raw and windy when I walk along the Brooklyn waterfront. Sam and I are spending almost four months in Brooklyn to enjoy our tiny apartment and to get to know our newest grandson, born on Feb. 4th.
