Unidentified Watercolor Flowers

As I voraciously follow many, many watercolor artists and their videos, I've learned that flowers can sometimes be whatever you want them to be!  I began painting 3 large-ish flowers and realized my paper was way too big (12x18), so I kept adding more flowers to fill in the space!  The little voice inside my head was literally saying "just go for it!" and that's what I did!  I needed to better define the flowers and I accomplished that with a paint brush and paint!!!
I added the background wash next.  I loved the fluid movement of this background!  I painted in the darker leaves and finished the piece with splatters.
Getting all weird about judging my painting isn't where I want to spend my creative time.  I know I loved the process of where this started and where the final result led me.  I will have fun finding a place to hang this piece!  I already went to Hobby Lobby and ended up with a pre-made 16x20 black frame and a white matt.

Is it Spring Yet???

I posted my spring garage art last week (that I still haven't hung 'cuz it's too darn cold!) and I've since painted a 12x12 Happy Hello piece for my son and his girlfriend of their dog, Wyatt to replace the snowman I gave them last Christmas.  I worked from a photo of Wyatt.
Here's the actual photo of Wyatt.

Sherry's Shoebox CAS Club

The next meeting of Sherry's CAS Club at the Bridgeport Library is April 26th at 3:30.  NO FEE!

The Shoebox Challenge is:

Birthday/Floral/Sympathy

Shoebox Kit Sign Ups for March:  Sherry, Gayla, Lyn

PLUS
Bring 1 card kit to swap

Shoebox cards are a fantastic opportunity to use your stash (believe me, you won't even miss your stuff!).  Just create one CAS card sample and put together 8 kits in  a "shoebox."  You do not have to commit to making a kit as we'll always have at least 3 people signed up to make kits, but the more cards we make, the merrier we'll be!

Here are the cards we made this past Wed. We had one extra person bring a shoebox for a total of 4 cards!

Easter Card

I realized I hadn't made any cards this past week, which didn't seem right so I put together a card with Fun Stampers Journey products, Tombow markers, Stampendous Glitter, Quickie Glue Pen, and faux stitching done with a White Uniball.  Flower Sequins (Fun Stampers Journey Bloom Time), sentiment, pearls (A Muse), ink (Catherine Pooler Designs), ribbon my stash, cardstock Fun Stampers Journey.

Well, that's it for this week's e-news!
Hope we're truly seeing the end of winter 'cuz I can't take much more of this weather!!!!

xoxo
