ROAD BIKES OF DISTINCTION AT BESPOKED 2017

Bespoked 2017 will showcase some of the best steel and carbon road bikes in the world from heritage brands like Condor, Rourke and Officina Battaglin to newer brands Bastion Cycles, Feather Cycles and Fifty One Bikes. Here's a preview of some of the top road bike makers that will be at Bespoked 2017.

Condor.

Since 1948 Condor's bespoke bikes have been ridden by champion road racers including Tom Simpson and Bradley Wiggins in the World Championships and the Tour de France. They'll be bringing this stainless steel Acciaio bike to Bespoked. Each bike is built to order from Columbus seamless stainless steel with oversized head tube, and is available in custom colours and geometry.

Rourke Framesets.

The name Rourke Framesets is synonymous with made to measure racing frames. Handmade in Stoke-on-Trent since 1972, the list of Olympic, World and National Championship riders who have won on a Rourke frame is long and includes names like Nicole Cooke and Laura Trott. Guy Martin's land speed record of 112mph was made possible by a custom made Rourke bike. If it's speed and stability you're after, stop by the Rourke stand at Bespoked to speak to Jason Rourke, son of Brian, who now heads up the company.

Feather Cycles.

Feather Cycles is making a welcome return to Bespoked after a couple of years away from the show. This is the latest road bike from the workshop of UK builder Ricky Feather, who will be bringing this beauty and another high-spec road bike that he is currently working on to Bespoked. He will also have his new Feather Cycles Racing team bike at the show so be sure to stop by his stand to see what he's been up to.

Officina Battaglin.

You may remember the name Battaglin from the 80s and 90s when ex-racer Giovanni Battaglin (who won the Giro-Vuelta double in 1981) was making steel frames for all the pros before aluminum and carbon became the standard for bicycle production. After a 20 year break Giovanni is back brazing steel frames under the name Officina Battaglin.

This frame is the Stephen Roche frame, made for and named after the man who won the Triple Crown back in 1987 - on a Battaglin. It's a tribute to the Battaglin racing legacy and a celebration of the champion, available in a very limited run of 30 pieces. Details shots of the frame are now available to download from the Bespoked 2017 Press Photos folder.

Stephen Roche will be at Bespoked to talk about his Officina Battaglin frame and his Triple Crown win at 2pm on Saturday 8th April.

Fifty-One.

The back-story to Fifty-One bikes is great. Founder Aidan Duff raced all over the world in the 90s, winning stages of the Tour de Bretagne and taking multiple Irish national titles. The bikes he rode from the world's biggest companies were good but they were never quite what he wanted so he searched the globe for a partner to make custom carbon frames for him. Eventually he found master framebuilder Mauro Sandino in Bavaria, but he'd shut up shop and retired, so Aidan relocated Mauro's entire workshop to Ireland. Mauro isn't building any more but is the senior consultant for Fifty-One. Meet Aaron Marsh, Fifty-One's framebuilder, and Aidan Duff at Bespoked with a mouth-watering collection of carbon road bikes.

Bastion.

Coming to Bespoked from Australia for a second year, Bastion's road bikes are made from carbon fibre tubes joined with aerospace grade Titanium lugs, making them incredibly light. This model comes in three stiffness options with completely custom geometry.
