First Step Toward Sustainability: Charging Buffalo Facility

The first step to a sustainable source of food for the Lakota, the Charging Buffalo Facility,  is proceeding. This project will allow Lakota buffalo, deer, antelope and other harvested animals to be processed on the Reservation, providing both employment and food. This summer we will be buying organic vegetables from local, though small, farms on the Reservation that are able to produce enough to sell.

Right now, we need to provide food to the families who are without.  Hams are $15 each and beyond the 500 boxes we deliver to homes, more than 100 families come to the distribution center in hopes of getting food.  Help us provide them with a ham also.
Your help has made it possible to set a goal of ending hunger on the Reservation.  From all of us, Lakota and non-Lakota, Wopila, Thank You.
