Opportunities for publication for presenting authors

EMES has teamed up with relevant publications across the fields of social enterprise to offer publishing outlets to authors presenting completed conference papers at the upcoming 6th Conference. In addition to ongoing submission opportunities, conference papers will have the option of being fast-tracked for selection in the publications included below; in some cases, journal editor-in-chiefs are considering the possibility of publishing special issues as well. For now, these are the journals that will consider special issues and fast-tracking for papers presented in the Conference:
  • Journal of Entrepreneurial and Organizational Diversity (JEOD)
  • Social enterprise Journal (SEJ)
  • Voluntary Sector Review
  • Voluntas
... and more are coming!

Recent PhD graduate, Danijel Baturina, shares his doctoral research and reflections on the PhD process on the EJEB

EMES member Danijel Baturina is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Social Policy at Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb. His doctoral research was closely linked to two of the EMES projects, namely WILCO (Welfare Innovations at Local Leven in favour of Cohesion) and TSI (Third Sector Impact - The Contribution of the Third Sector to Europe’s Socio-economic Development). We asked Danijel to share the main ideas in his dissertation which researched the impact of the third sector and volunteering on socio-economic development of Croatia. The result was the latest post in the EMES Junior Experts Blog (EJEB) entitled “Impact of the Third Sector on socio-economic development of Republic of Croatia.”

As you know, EJEB aims to feature the ongoing work of PhD students from the EMES PhD Network. Danijel has participated in the fourth and fifth editions of the EMES PhD Summer School.

Best of luck to Danijel in his future endeavors and we count on your sustained support to EMES!
