Aeon magazine article - Ambient full-length release - Gig next week

News from Darkroom: it's been a while…

Our collaboration with the Hubbub project based at the Wellcome Collection in London has just been featured in Aeon magazine. They resisted calling the article 'Music For Hospitals', despite the ambient focus, and describe in some detail how we performed for patients and staff of the Critical Care Unit at University College London Hospital in May 2016, and why. Read the article here.

The final section of the performance is available on Soundcloud, featuring Peter Chilvers and Charles Fernyhough.

Our most recent full album release, The Axe Forgets But The Tree Remembers, is also based on the Hubbub collaboration. Recorded in the Medicine Man gallery at Wellcome Collection, London in September 2015, with extensive post-production during the first half of 2016, this is our most extended ambient release for some time. If you haven't heard the album yet, it's available in the download format of your choice for whatever price you want to pay from Bandcamp here.

Darkroom and Tuesdays Post will reconnect and experiment live in London on Saturday 25th March, at The Muse Gallery on Portobello Road, alongside Martin Glover (Youth), and Martin A. Smith. Tickets are available here.

Expect a new album update on March 31st… yes, there will be physical copies this time!
