This morning I made public my latest Luthier Tips du Jour Mailbag video. In it I show how I use a tool called the Super Six Planer and my drill press to thickness back and side material. This video, as well as all of my Luthier Tips du Jour videos are available via my website. 


This week another student built his guitar with me and is on his way back to Arizona with a beautiful classical guitar to enjoy!.  The first picture is on the first day of class with the materials on the bench. The second picture shows the guitar we built in 6 days. The smile says it all.  
                                                                  
  
Last weekend I was in Dallas visiting the LINT luthiers group. I gave a presentation with over 600 pictures and some lively commentary that showed my complete steel string guitar building process. This is the same process that I use in my private guitar building classes in my shop with my students. Thank you to everyone in Dallas that made the effort to come to the event and especially for the nice warm Texas hospitality.



 

In April I will be hosting a modal tuning masterclass with the person that literally wrote the book on the subject, Trevor Gore from Australia. I have had a person cancel and therefore am able to offer his spot to one lucky person. The class is scheduled for April 25-27. This is a full three day class and will be held at my shop in Parker, Co. This is perhaps a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from the best in person. If interested, contact me.
