Though Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) has at times criticized President Donald Trump's foreign policy vision, the two can agree on one thing: The United Nations is in desperate need of reform. Now, one of Corker's staffers is joining in the fight for change as a senior policy adviser to the U.S. Mission to the international body.
Morgan Vina had been a policy analyst to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee since 2013.
Corker, who opposed Trump's first executive order on immigration while supporting the president's more recent one, voted to confirm Trump's pick for U.N. ambassador, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and has called for "tremendous" reform of the institution. Trump remains one of the U.N.'s fiercest critics.
