This competition is open to the following instrumentalists: voice, piano, strings, winds, brass, and percussion. Love Live Music Competition Applications close 31 March The competition calls for filmmakers and musicians to collaborate on a 60 second film. The top ten finalists will be screened at the internationally accredited St Kilda Film Festival. It’s a ten-week program providing aspiring musicians aged 12-19 with the experience of rehearsing, playing in a band and performing in live gigs. Cultural Development Planning Workshop in Albury 23 March, Albury A cultural development workshop tailored for local government professionals. The workshop will address the common challenges that are often raised by local government in cultural development staff positions. A family friendly event, with lots of great workshops and singing/playing opportunities for all ages and abilities.

Darwin Fringe Festival Call Out Applications close 1 April Darwin Fringe is a ten day, open-access arts festival held annually, created to support and celebrate independent and diverse artists in Darwin. They are now looking for musicians to perform at their next festival taking place 7-16 July. A Rock and Roll Writer’s Festival 1 – 2 April, Brisbane The Rock & Roll Writers Festival celebrates the creative relationship between writing and music. Fans of music and writing get up close and personal with the creators of stories and songs.
