Healthy Bodies for 400 Children: our new crowdfunding campain
Dear Vision AfriKa Supporter

Access to learning resources, facilities and tutors all form part of the supportive environment we provide for the children and young people who participate in our programmes.

But for many of our learners this doesn’t go far enough.

They grow up in an environment often lacking in life’s basics - things many of us often take for granted. This includes access to good nutrition and opportunities to get regular exercise, both of which play such an important part in growing the healthy bodies young people require to benefit from our programmes and develop inquisitive minds. That’s why we spend a great deal of time focusing on exercise and providing nutritious food each day.

To help fund this important part of our work, we’ve just launched a crowdfunding campaign called "Healthy Bodies for 400 Children” - and we’d very much appreciate your support
“I am now committed to my education without having to worry about my next meal” — Zolie Sapepa, Vision AfriKa participant.

As you know, taking personal responsibility is at the heart of our philosophy, but we also realise that we stand a much better chance of instilling this and other important values in the minds of our learners when we are able to address some of these debilitating constraints. To paraphrase Nelson Mandela, we remove these obstacles so that their choices too may reflect their hopes rather than their disadvantages - to give them the confidence to break the mould and dream bigger.

"B. Com Accounting is not an obvious choice for a township girl but because I was inspired to dream by Vision Afrika it was for me, and I am now in my second year of study at the University of the Western Cape.” — Ambesiwe Goje, Vision AfriKa participant.

Thanks as always for your support. If you’d like to learn a bit more about our philosophy and current programmes, take a peek at our revamped website at VisionAfriKa.com or browse our news items below.
