Annual Parish Meeting 4th April 2017 6.30 pm Saltford Hall
Everyone is welcome at the annual Parish Meeting. This year we are again presenting our Community Awards at the meeting. Winners will get £60 for their chosen Saltford group, project, cause or charity. There will also be a review of the Parish Council's year, opportunities for questions and comments, as well as (we hope) Fair Trade refreshments and an opportunity to socialise. The meeting will be followed by a regular meeting of the Parish Council's Planning Committee. The next full Parish Council meeting will be on 18th April 2017 at 7.15 pm.
Grant to Saltford Brass Mill
The Parish Council has made a grant of £510 to Saltford Brass Mill to install non-slip decking strips on the access footbridge for the safety of visitors.
Traffic volumes on the A4 at Saltford
Below are the weekday average total number of vehicles in 24 hours on the A4 at Saltford 1998-2016 (both directions combined). There has been a drop of 12% in the total number of vehicles travelling on the A4 Bath Road since the peak of 2002. Very little traffic passes along the A4 between 8pm in the evening and 6am in the morning. Not surprisingly, traffic volumes normally peak daily between 7am and 8am and between 4pm and 6pm. On Fridays the morning traffic builds up more slowly.
