We are delighted to be on the Regional Shortlist for Independent Bookshop of the Year

A record breaking number of submissions has led to the highest ever number of regional shortlisted bookshops at the British Book Awards’ Independent Bookshop of the Year category, sponsored by Gardners Books.

In all, submissions were up 15% in this competitive category, with 42 independent bookshops from eight regions across the UK and Ireland making the cut. They will compete to become regional winners.

The regional winners will then vie for the overall Independent Bookshop of the Year crown at the British Book Awards ceremony, to be held at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 8th May. Sponsor Gardners Books will once again present the overall winner with a cheque for £5,000 prize, to be invested in the day-to-day running of the shop or potential improvements.
