Cooking and Consuming for a Cause

A vision team from CCC (Christ Covenant Church) came and we tried Courageous Kitchen (CK) for the first time. It was very eye opening (and tummy opening) and just really, really fun, much better than expected. We started from scratch, literally, with a trip to the local market. The only thing we didn't do was the dishes. You can sign up through their website or I can help if needed.

But CK is not just a Thai cooking class; it's a reorganization of InSearchofSanuk, an organization Dwight Turner started to help refugees and asylum seekers in Bangkok. Dwight is the guy that first introduced this issue to me up close and personal, and he's been helpful to many mission teams I hosted. I heartily recommend Courageous Kitchen for everyone visiting Bangkok.
