Dear <<First Name>>,

Daylight Savings Time recently assailed us here in the States, and I know I’m not the only one who thinks we should abolish the practice and leave the damn clocks alone. But not all change is hideous. After three years in this apartment, I’ll be settling in a new home and a new-to-me city during the next couple of months, and I couldn’t be more excited. Unfortunately, that means I have to figure out what to do with my Post-It wall.

This, my friends, will eventually be PsyCop 9. I’ve been staring at it for months as I feel my way through the rough draft of PsyCop 8. I’ll need to figure out a way to transfer this info so my brain still understands. Maybe lots of photographs will help. And I suppose at some point it does need to grow up and become an outline.

As for #8, I’m hoping to have more definitive news about its cover, title and release date for you soon!

Embracing the changes,

Jordan

I’ll be holding a reader event in London the evening of Thursday the 4th of May, where I’ll do a reading and have Q&A.

I haven’t yet settled on the location, but I’ll have specifics for you next month. If you’re interested in attending, keep your eyes peeled!

Are you a Learning Junkie?

I adore online learning. But I’ve subscribed to so many services that it didn’t seem like I really needed another one. In comes Skillshare. I took a class or two and thought they were okay, but I suspect the more I looked at, the smarter its recommendation engine got. Pretty soon I was learning stuff that blew my mind. Email marketing ninja tools. Pattern design. Logo design. Sketching and productivity. Even Excel (a necessary evil…and less onerous if you know what you’re doing.)

What’s particularly cool about these courses is that they’re presented in short segments, so even if you just have a spare 10 minutes over lunch, you could still rack up some exciting new skills.

If you’d like to try a free month and see if it’s for you, use this special code: http://skl.sh/2hIKfMw. I’ll get a free month too if you decide to sign up!

So far my favorite course was this one on customizing type: http://skl.sh/2m4maSi. So cool I may even need to watch it again!

"Second part in the Mnevermind series, this one covers the point of view of our other main character, Eliah, and we are given every bit of precious information in a way that makes it astonishingly simple for such a complicated character. These novels are about ordinary people in their extraordinary but common lives. It’s about old machines and hand-me-downs, dreams that you can buy per hour, and the fight to keep afloat. Sweet, rusty and warm, like old brandy." -Rosa Oya

Seth Clayton is extraordinary as Elijah. His performance left me all choked up more than once. -JCP ;-)
