We elected new Deacons and Elders this past Sunday at our congregational meeting.  A big welcome to new deacons: Diana Geary & Michael Mendonca and new elders: Bob Brylawski, Richard Harvey & Linda Trowbridge.

We'll be installing and ordaining them in worship this Sunday as we reflect upon the church as community from the persepective of the parables of lost things in Luke 15.

COMMUNITY NEWS
We prayed with and over John and Cristina Fonua on Sunday regarding the birth of their granddaughter and her future care.

Cristina contacted me this morning to  share the good news that CPS decided to put Breeze in the their care and will work with them in regards to Emergency Legal Guardianship. 

That's her yesterday weight was 4.07 
Breeze Renee Ramirez 
Born 3/8/17, as of yesterday she weighs 4.07 lbs.

Sally Ann Schmidt 4/27/42-3/1/17

Monte learned Monday morning that Sally Schimdt died earlier this month, passing away with some of her family present at the hospital on March 1st.

What will happen next is not clear.  Monte will be sure to update the community if and when there is any sort of celebration of her life.  Sally had been out of touch with our church for sometime.  If you know of or learn anything please be in touch with Monte so we can share the information with everyone.

We will use some of our prayer time on Sunday in worship to celebrate her life.
 
We gather on St Patrick's Day each year to celebrate the fun and enjoy time with each other for lunch at Brennan's Sports Bar and Restaurant in Berkeley.  They validate for free parking.  It does get crowded, so adjust your arrival knowing that the lines will be long.  Look for our group table!
