Hello Friends!  We are happy to announce we have been accepted to Pop-Up-Town Gallery. We will occupy the pop-up space August 10-Sept 20 where we will be showcasing our members in our CANADA 150 The Present & Future exhibition. This summer is going to be filled with patriot celebration (and reflection) we are honoured to be a part of the festivities in White Rock!  How can we further celebrate or reflect on Canada's 150 years? HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE PAST FEW WEEKS:
Author, Deborah Campbell joined us in the Turnbull Gallery to read from her book Disappearance in Damascus as part of our Readings by the Salish Sea literary program. 
 


We participated in the annual Canadian Clay Symposium R:evolution. by featuring local potters.

We celebrated Capture Photography Festival at the Double Exposure Photography opening reception.

We wrapped up another Spring Break! We facilitated 9 spring break camps to educate and entice kids in dance, acting, visual arts and pottery.
Registration for Summer Camps opens on April 18.

Solo Art Exhibitions at the White Rock Community Centre

The City of White Rock in partnership with Semiahmoo Arts is currently accepting submissions for artists to exhibit in our upcoming solo art shows. The first show will run from June 15 to July 14, with an opening reception on June 15, 2016.  The second art show will run from Oct 26 to Nov 24, with an opening reception on Oct 26, 2017.

Double Exposure creates a platform for dialogue between photography and poetry. This exhibition showcases the talent of our community in celebration of two popular annual events: Capture Photography Festival as well as Canada’s National Poetry Month.

REMINISCENCE, REAWAKENING, REBIRTH ART SHOW
The City of White Rock in partnership with Semiahmoo Arts is currently accepting submissions for Reminiscence, Reawakening, Rebirth Art Show.The premise of this show is to find a work of art from a family member and use this as the basis for a reproduction and a new inspired work. All artists are invited to submit three works of art that must include:
1) Family members piece
2) Replication in similar style (same size canvas or panel)
3) Replication in artists chosen style inspired by family painting (same size canvas or panel)
