Our block of Elm Street has seen better days, so we're excited to see it getting redone this spring. Elm Street may be intermittently blocked off during construction, but the parking lot on the corner of Chestnut and Pine is open for library parking.
From the city website: "Elm Street between Pine and Furnace Streets is scheduled for reconstruction in 2017. It will be done in 2 phases. The portion between Pine and Main Streets will be done first from early spring until late May or early June. The other portion from Main Street to Furnace Street will be done from June to September."
