Dear Friends,

The photos below will show you what I've been up to, better than my words will tell you this week.

I ventured into the "big city" = SF/Bay Area... and after getting used to living in the peace and quiet of nature, the city was A LOT to handle! But of course I had fun...
  • Had the manditory, ubiquitious tourist wander; I let my feet lead me and crossed the street when the lights were green.
  • Got hooked up with super posh digs!
  • Got to spend time with my "Fairy-God daughter" and my "Berkeley Family."
  • Danced with two of my "Frifes" (Friend + Wife = "Frife [Copywrite & Trademark by Sasha Zeilig]).
  • Supported an amazing Berkeley non-profit who grows organic food and feeds hungry people by purchasing a load of starters from them with Lindsay.
Well after a city-filled week spent in San Fransico, digging in the dirt and communing with nature we was a welcome change!

What a lovely weekend I had back home at Vedanta:
  • Rebekah Freedom (see photo at top) came for a visit to discuss a workshop we are developing together. She was such a great house guest - so helpful that she even did dishes, helped shovel horse sh*t, I mean "compost," and even stripped her bed. Guess her mama raised her right!
  • Then we were showered with delicious home cooked food, beautiful flowers, and the luscious, magical energy of Ivanna and Gina, my co-facilitators for the Spring Equiniox Ritual-Celebration!
  • And on top it all off, I got to spend lots of time swimming and soaking in the California Hot Springs and hiking the land with Lindsay (who is now also living at Vedanta).
This is our Spring Equinox Ritual-Celebration in pictures...

Getting things set up one step at a time:

First there was grass, then there was dirt, then the black sheeting, then 4 raised beds, then 6, then freshly churned soil, then a home for new plants, and soon-to-be a whole greenhouse.
Gardening is hard work!
But it makes things pretty....

To prepare for our Ritual Planting, we wrote our intentions down on bay leaves with quill pens.
We embodied our prayer in a moving-meditation by Paulo Ceolho called the Seed Exercise from his book The Pilgrimage.
  • Start in Child's Pose
  • Stay there as long as you can stand it
  • Slowly begin to sit up
  • Then "fighting against the disequilibrium just as a shoot battles to make its own space," slowly come to standing
  • Keep growing up onto your fingers and toes embracing the sun above and elements around you
  • Let it spread and stretch into your hands and fingers
  • Finally, when the tension becomes too much, scream!
  • Repeat this exercise for the next 7 days at the same time
Next, we processed out to the garden in silent ceremony to plant our intentions under our little sproutlings.
Finally, we ate a delicious, organic vegetarian lunch together, and then swam and soaked in the California Hot Springs.
What are the seeds of intention that you are planting this spring? What intentions do you plan to nurture and grow?

I continue to water and shine light on the LOVE-O-LUTION!

Happy Spring, ya'll!

Manifestation Monday Mantra

We hope the Monday Mantra inspires you to manifest your truest self.
We suggest you do the action and repeat the mantra daily at least 10 times.

I AM PLANTING INTENTIONS

#ManifestiationMondayMantra

Spring has sprung... it's time to do some cleaning and clearing space for the seeds of intention that you desire to nurture and cultivate this season.

Maybe do a little gardening... a least go outside this week.
Feel the transition in your body as if you are in harmony with the earth's changes because as her seasons change so do ours -- we are one with Mother Earth.
  • Write your intentions down.
  • Bury them.
  • Put a plant on top.
  • Add a tiny crystal if you want.

And here's the Pegan blessing we said over the newly planted spouts:

"As we plant our seeds, our intentions are planted.
As our plants grow, so our intentions grow.
Blessed be, and so it is."

If you like it, please feel free to say it.
3 times is best.
Sending love and light to brighten these longer days.

xoxoxo,
Sasha
