Dear Parents, Teachers and Students,
Thank you to those who attended our NOPE (Narcotics Overdose Prevention Education) for parents! We are grateful to the NOPE task force for providing this presentation for us!
We are also in the process of electing our new PTSA board for next school year. We have 24 positions on our volunteer board at various commitment levels. The positions are open to all PTSA members and we invite you to come out and meet those being nominated at our General Meeting on Wednesday, April 19th at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium.
There are still a few open board positions available, so if you are interested in joining this wonderful organization, please contact our Nominating Committee Chairperson, Jennifer Southerland at secretary@newsomehighschoolptsa.org.
Lastly, we will be sending out a SignUp Genius e-mail to Newsome PTSA members to sign up to proctor AP exams which will begin May 1 through May 12. Parents that can volunteer is greatly appreciated. This will free up our guidance counselors' time so they can counsel our children.

Please consider joining the PTSA. Membership is only $10.00 per person. Membership is available to everyone: students, parents, teachers, grandparents. friends and family. Seniors must be a member by January 31, 2017 to be eligible for a Senior Scholarship.
