Dear girl geek,

In collaboration with our fellow Girl Geeks at Blendle, an iTune like Jornalism Company in Utrecht, we invite you to Talk and Drinks. Talk and Drinks is the new twist to our Drinks event, where girl geeks come together after work, to socialize and listen to talks by women kicking ass in their respective fields.

This time the event is hosted by one of the powerful Girl Geek companies. :-)  We got three awesome women sharing their stories. See below who they are.

Introducing Jessica Best (Head of Editorial at Blendle)

She started her career as a print journalist in the United Kingdom, later working as a digital reporter and social media editor. Prior to joining Blendle, she was deputy news editor at Mirror Online in the UK. She joined Blendle in February 2016 to lead the US editorial team and now works on editorial strategy with the US, German, and Dutch teams. Come and hear all about her work and learn more about Blendle.

Introducing Mirte Becker (User experience designer, WeTransfer)

Mirte is currently leading the UX practice at WeTransfer. She's worked at different creative agencies, and now with an in-house design team, helping companies become (better) digital businesses. When not designing, she'll take apart any gadget she can get her hands on.

Introducing Maartje ter Hoeve

Maartje has a degree in linguistics from the University of Amsterdam and is currently studying for a Masters in artificial intelligence. For her thesis, she is working with Blendle's data team on a project helping users to understand why they see the stories they are served with.
