A MESSAGE FROM YOUR COMPONENT OFFICERS
Dear Members,
During the beginning of this term your Component Executive discussed the open Committee positions and vacancies that have occurred. Every two years, as per the Component Bylaws, the Component President appoints members, from any base, to chair the committees at Component level.
We wanted to try a new approach by allowing members at large to put their names forward to be part of a committee that they have interest in or passion for.
The following committees currently have open positions:
- Bylaw Committee
- Communication Committee
- Crew Rest Committee
- Education Committee
- Mobilization Committee
- Women's Committee
These committees are important to the operation and function of the Union. The members on these committees need to value confidentiality when dealing with members and collecting information for reports towards their committee functions. All positions are volunteer.
We welcome all members to apply, by emailing your letter of intention to contact@accomponent.ca, and we will contact everyone that applies to advise you of our selection process.
