After the post-launch rush things are slowly getting back to normal. This gives me a chance to publish more behind-the-scenes post on our blog: read more about Offscreen’s new binding method (why it looks the way it does) and how I decide to go with Acumin as the sole typeface for the new look. I’ll publish more posts like this in the coming weeks. If there is a particular aspect of the production of the magazine or the new website you’d like to see a detailed post about, let me know by replying.

As a quick reminder to those readers who subscribed to Offscreen in the past but haven’t ordered their copy of issue 16 yet: remember that all previous orders have been fulfilled and all old subscriptions have ended. Time to renew.

Workflowy

A notebook for lists

Workflowy is essentially just a 'smart' list. It lets you record, organise, and check off items in various ways. It's perhaps the most barebone, yet effective way to manage large lists.

Sticky Gel Pad

Stick things to almost any surface

I saw an ad for this product on Instagram and could instantly think of a lot of practical use cases (if it does work as well as advertised). The washable and reusable Sticky Gel Pad attaches to almost any surface, making it a pretty versatile mounting device not just for your tech gadgets.

Lavolta

A carrying case for your iMac

When I first came across this product I thought it was a prank. But nope, it's real! You can now buy a stylish, handmade carrying bag for your giant 27 inch iMac. This must be the most Williamsburg item I have ever featured in this newsletter.

Ethics can’t be a side hustle

Mike Monteiro with a reminder that doing ethical work after hours can't make up for unethical work during the day. We sure can't all work for Greenpeace, but we should at least question how we make a living (and say 'no' to corporate professionalism.)
